Sarah’s Experience

6 Things You Need to Know About Empathy | Psychology TodayIntroduction to the characters of my story:

Carla is mean and ruthless but has a friend opposite of her. Sarah is kind, helpful, and supportive. She is a really bubbly person who loves animals and people. But on the other hand, Carla despises people. They met 4 years ago when they were both 10 years old; they’ve been good friends, having each other's backs, told each other secrets, were both honest with each other.

Carla has long dark curly hair, dark brown and almond shaped eyes, has a Roman nose, sticking out ears, soft arched eyebrows, a heart shaped face with glamour shaped lips.

Sarah has short straight blonde hair, blue, round shaped and ocean colored eyes, a button nose, sticking out ears, a circle shaped face and cupid’s bow lips.

Beginning of the Short Story:

The story starts off with two best friends, and is set in High School. Carla and Sarah have just finished their English class. Something was a bit off with Sarah. She was more down than usual, she’d usually be loud and joyful. “Hey Sarah, are you free tomorrow? It’s saturday so I thought we’d do something, ” said Carla. “Sorry, I’m not sure. I'm quite busy, we have an upcoming exam next week and I have to get ready,” explained Sarah. “It’s fine, but are you fine? I’ve noticed you’ve been feeling down alot lately.. And you’re not the type of person to be all quiet,” Said Carla. “I’m fine, don’t worry about it” replied Sarah. “It doesn’t seem like you’re fine, what’s wrong? Tell me,” insisted Carla.

“Everything’s just been hard lately and my mum lost her job, my dad doesn't earn enough money to buy food, pay the electricity bills, water bills, etc. My family’s counting on me, I need to get a job,” Sarah responded. “Look Sarah, I’ll be here to help whenever you need me, we can both get jobs and I can give you half my payment, it's all fine. I don't need the money,” Carla suggested. “Really? Thank you! That will reall-”, “pfft, like I'd do that bye, IM KIDDING. I’ll always be here k?”

' The Cay ' Moral

Last term in English we read The Cay

The moral of the story that I understood from the themes of the book is...

' Trust '

Try knowing someone better before you can start trusting them. I give ' The Cay ' a 4 star because of how much impact it gave in the past and Because Timothy didn't care how badly Philip treated him.

Tiyanak. - Charles

Tiyanak in Filipino...

The Myth in English...

A Tiyanak is a hairy beast that takes the form of a baby or a toddler. It cries to lure its victims to their trap and eat them. Once they’re finished they eat them.

My 34 word summary of the Myth...

Scene One:

At home

I can see a small space and dim light. It reminds me of the burrows I have seen on tv that animals dig out as their home. I can see they are all huddled together sleeping so there is not a lot of room. The inside of the burrow is brown so it is dirt that has been dug under the ground.

Global Warming

Global warming gradually increases both land and sea. CO2 is like a blanket keeping our planet just in the temperature, While the water level rises the lower areas of the world will be flooded which leaves thousands, if not millions of people homeless. We must make a change before it's too late

Myths & Legends.

The Greek Myth I am studying is called Theseus.

Theseus was a Demi-God Son of Poseidon and the Mortal Aethra. The King of Athens, He is also known for being Strong, Smart, Fearless, etc.

As Theseus turned 16, Aethra knew it was time for Theseus to know who his real father is. Thesues, Aethra, his Grandfarther, and King Pittheus had ventured through the forest until they saw a giant tall rock, Theseus had tried to move it and slowly fainted, and as he woke up Aethra pointed at the sword underneath the rock. Theseus drew the sword from its dark cover. Theseus started to venture alone in the wood. It didnt take long for him to come across a murderer. He (Theseus) lunged at him and pierced his sword through his heart. Theseus came across Sinis in the woods with a rope in his hand, standing beside a pine tree. And then Theseus explained how he saw a club and asked Sinis if it was his. Theseus slowly walked towards Sinis and hit him in the head leaving him unconscious. Theseus with a club beat a Pig, A Giant, and evil King. From the inns. Both Men and Women chanted his name, Leaving Theseus as the next hero. Theseus met Procrustes, He offered Theseus a place to sleep, eat, and stay in. It was an ambush, Procrustes tried to tie Theseus but soon failed, His sword took care of Procrustes leaving a bloody mess. And as he walked out They cheered his name. There was a hall full of food waiting for Theseus in the palace. He showered and oiled himself. Theseus walked down the great hall, He sat next to the queen. He looked into the king's eye, his father, Although Theseus knew it was him the King didn't know what he looked like.
